a Local Area Network (LAN) and Test Engineer on the Aegis
Modernization Team you will:
--- Work on software integration projects that will vary from
weapons systems command and control software, to network interface
management software, to combat systems mission specific software,
to electronic detection systems.
--- Integrate into a small, high-performing team.
--- Review and evaluate test requirements to ensure completeness of
test program.
--- Independently author formal test procedures, standard operating
procedures, and data reports.
--- Plan, implement, test, document, and maintain solutions for the
integration and testing. components, elements, subsystems, and
systems.
--- Establish functional and technical specifications and
standards, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines
input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire
system or subsystem.
--- Review, evaluate, and derive requirements for testability,
develop and direct preparation and execution of comprehensive test
plans, procedures and schedules for complete systems and/or
subsystems.
--- Perform analysis of test results and prepares comprehensive
subsystem and/or system level evaluation reports which verify and
validate system performance.
--- Write discrepancy reports and performs integration regression
testing to verify/validate incorporated fixes to software,
components, subsystems, and systems.
--- Relentlessly pursue continuous improvement, emphasize outcomes
over metrics, and be a good teammate.
--- Be able to interpret complex system requirements.
*US Citizenship is required. Candidate must be able to obtain a DoD
Interim Secret Security Clearance prior to starting this
position.
Basic Qualifications:
--- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related
discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5
years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional
experience with a related master's degree. Considered career, or
journey level.
--- Experience with Microsoft Office Products including Outlook,
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project. This position requires up to
50% travel per year. Also requires work on Naval Vessels, both
in-port and at sea. Employee will be expected to work in confined
spaces and climb ladders and steep stairs. Personal protective
equipment (PPE) will be required to be worn.
US Citizenship is required. Candidate must be able to obtain a DoD
Interim Secret Security Clearance prior to starting this
position.

--- Military computer infrastructure and/or ship class experience
(i.e., Aegis, CG, DDG)
---Unix, Linux, C++ certifications
--- Strong troubleshooting skills. Ability to isolate problem to
root cause. --- Shipboard troubleshooting experience
--- Leadership experience
--- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal
supervision
--- Good written and verbal communication skills

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated
with this position will be performed onsite at a designated
Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate
work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our
employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day
work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules
provide employees with additional time away from the office and are
in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Non- standard 40 hour work week as
assigned by leader
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and
New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado,
Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $82,200 -
$157,500. For states not referenced above, the salary range for
this position will reflect the candidate's final work location.
Please note that the salary information is a general guideline
only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited
to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work
experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and
business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time
employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off
(PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive
at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees
accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of
sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO,
Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start
date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan
eligible.
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major
metropolitan areas in California and New York is $94,500 -
$178,000. For states not referenced above, the salary range for
this position will reflect the candidate's final work location.
